Every AeroGarden comes with a handbook and recipes, too, so you can use your garden to the fullest.
What It Is
The AeroGarden is a high-tech bio-dome that supports plants and makes growing them easy. The computerized countertop device - it's about the size of a breadbox - will inform you when plants require water and nutrients; a built-in microprocessor monitors the delivery of nutrients, water flow, and the application of sun-simulating grow lights. Generally, AeroGarden can be left unattended for up to two weeks, though large plants may require more frequent attention.
How It Works
Home indoor gardeners simply need to plug pre-seeded "Grow Pods" into the base of the garden, and then add water and the supplied nutrient tablets. Then, plug it in, select the plant type on the garden's keypad, and watch your plant grow. Seed pods act as small greenhouses, allowing seeds to germinate quickly and without dirt. An aeroponic chamber at the base of the unit creates a near-perfect rainforest growing environment; roots are suspended in air with 100-percent humidity and high levels of oxygen. Sun-like lights automatically turn on and off, so gardens require no natural light.
